DES MOINES - Former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad will make it official Monday afternoon. He is set to declare his candidacy for the 2010 Gubernatorial race by filing petition papers at the state capitol.

Branstad has been traveling around the state for the last two months as part of his "Iowa Comeback Tour."

The former governor will face businessman Bob Vander Plaats and State Representative Rod Roberts in a June 8th Republican primary.

The winner will likely challenge Democrat Chet Culver, who is seeking a second term.
