IOWA CITY (AP) — Iowa City police say they have filed a drunken driving charge against a man who was found unconscious after he wrecked his snowmobile on Jan. 20.

Police say 39-year-old Jeffrey Alan Sterba of North Liberty smelled strongly of alcohol after the crash and became combative after he regained consciousness. They say a blood test administered later at a hospital revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.33 — more than four times the legal limit for driving.

Sterba did not have a listed phone number and could not be reached for comment.
