No One Hurt When Car Hits Cedar Rapids Apartment Building

CEDAR RAPIDS -- No one was injured when a vehicle struck a Cedar Rapids apartment building Friday morning.

It happened at 249 38th St. Dr. SE, at the Continental Terrace Apartments. Police said they responded there around 4:45 a.m. when the incident was reported.

The crash knocked out a bedroom window and damaged the outside of the building.

A woman who lives in the impacted apartment said her daughter was sleeping just a few feet away when it happened.

Police do not have a description of the suspect or the vehicle. Anyone who has information about the incident is encouraged to call police.
