Fire Destroys Evansdale Home

EVANSDALE - Fire crews found a gas leak outside an Evansdale home that burst into flames Thursday morning. Evansdale firefighters say it happened around 2:30 a.m. at 1040 Jones Road. The home is considered a total loss.

MidAmerican Energy arrived on scene to turn off gas to the area. Although firefighters found a leak near the home, an official cause has yet to be determined. No injuries were reported.
