CEDAR RAPIDS - The next time you renew your driver's license, you'll have to wait for the mail.

Starting next month, The Iowa DOT will mail out new licenses. It's part of an effort to curb identity theft.

Drivers will get a temporary paper license at the DMV. The actual license will arrive about 30 days later.
