IOWA CITY - Jurors have been seated in the trial of Donald Clark, who is accused of second-degree sexual abuse in connection with incidents that
occurred during the 2003-04 school year. The case is being tried in
Iowa City before Judge Douglas Russell.

Clark, 41, was a counselor at Lemme Elementary School in Iowa City
when the alleged abuse occurred. The child, then 11, did not come
forward with the allegations until nearly six years later.

The afternoon session will begin with opening statements by Anne
Lahey, attorney for the state, and Robert Johnson, defense attorney.
Testimony will follow. The case is expected to be completed by the
end of the day Tuesday with jury deliberations beginning on Wednesday.
