Arlington Man Hurt in ATV Crash

ELGIN - An Arlington man was injured when he was thrown from an all-terrain vehicle near Elgin on Saturday evening.

Randy Thein, 48, was riding a four-wheeler in a field along Echo Valley Road, about three-fourths of a mile southwest of Golden Road, around 5:11 p.m. when he lost control, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

Thein was taken by ambulance to Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union. He was later transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where a hospital spokeswoman said information about his condition was not being released.

The incident remains under investigation.
