Story City Woman Charged in Death of Three-Year-Old
NEVADA (AP) - Police have arrested a Story City woman and charged her with first-degree murder in the 2008 death of a three-year-old boy.
Officers from Story City and Nevada arrested Amanda Kaye Porter, 25, on Friday at a Story City home. She was charged with first-degree murder and felony child endangerment in the death of Spencer Corson. The boy died June 24, 2008, a day after being found unresponsive at a home in Nevada. After an autopsy, his death was ruled a homicide. The Des Moines Register reported Porter was the girlfriend of the boy's father.
