Fire Damages Garage in Jesup

JESUP - Crews spent Tuesday night on the scene of a garage fire in Jesup.

Firefighters from the Jesup and Independence fire departments responded to the blaze at 654 Seventh Street. According to the Waterloo Courier, crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading into the home. The house did suffer smoke and water damage.

The roof of the garage collapsed in the fire, a car parked inside was destroyed. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
