A woman was injured when the car she was in was broadsided by a truck along Highway 151 in Fairfax this afternoon.
The crash happened in front of the Casey's General Store, between 80th Street SW and Cemetery Road, just before 12:30 p.m.
A Linn County Sheriff's Sergeant told The Gazette the woman was being taken to a hospital for "precautionary reasons, at this point."
Firefighters had to extricate the woman from the white car, which sustained extensive damage to the driver's side when it was struck by the UPS-style truck. The truck involved had a logo on its door for D&V Industrial Supply of Robins.
Traffic was detoured around the accident scene for a short time.
