CEDAR RAPIDS - Pot holes are popping up on streets and roads across eastern Iowa.

In Cedar Rapids, city crews were out patching some of them Monday.

The city got several reports of bigger pot holes after the recent thaw. The pot holes form when melting snow seeps into the pavement and expands when it re-freezes.

Crews are filling holes according to their size and how much traffic a street gets.
