DUNKERTON - Two snowmobilers are lucky to be alive tonight. The pair fell through ice and into a frigid creek in Black Hawk County.

The Dunkerton Fire Department says two snowmobiles fell through the ice on Crane Creek around four o'clock.

Rescuers used a boat to reach Jake Ledendusky and Justin Cowell of Fairbank.

Firefighters say the two clung to their partially submerged snowmobiles to stay out of the water until help arrived.

An ambulance checked out both teens and we're happy to report both are doing just fine.
