CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids police have released photos of three men who stole a vending machine from a cell-phone outlet last month.
The men took the machine, which had a data link to dispense pre-paid long distance calling cards, from the lobby of the I Wireless store at 345 Edgewood Rd. NW the night of Nov. 22. The machine was found two days later in a ditch along 25th Avenue in rural Benton County northeast of Newhall, police Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said.
At least one of the three men brought heavy work gloves for the job, and another appears to be wearing a welding mask. But one of them looked directly at the atrium’s surveillance camera.
Anyone who can identify the thieves or provide information on their whereabouts is asked to call 1-800-CR-CRIME (272-7463).
