Help Police Identify Thief
CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are asking for the public’s help in catching a thief.
On Monday, a white male entered the Acme Tool store on Blairsferry Rd NE and stole a $700 generator. The thief took the time to cover the license plates on his silver Audi just prior to pulling into the Acme parking lot., however several of Acme’s neighbors were watching what was happening and called the police. The thief was quicker than the police. He was able to be in and out of the store before police could arrive. The Audi was last seen eastbound on Blairsferry Rd. The suspect is described as a white male, in his 20’s, about 5’10”, 180 pounds, brown hair, wearing a white jacket with a red sweatshirt underneath.
