LINN COUNTY - All flights going in and out of the Eastern Iowa Airport are cancelled until at least 3:30 this afternoon.

That was also the case for many flights there Tuesday. Some travelers stayed at nearby hotels like the Country Inn and Suites overnight.

They wanted to make sure they wouldn't have to worry about driving in unsafe conditions.

"When I heard the weather reports, it was no question about what I had to do," said Helen Thies, traveler.

If you're wondering about flights going in and out of the airport, call the airlines directly.

The flights continue to be cancelled as the weather is not improving. If you call ahead, you can also avoid getting stuck or stranded at the airport, not to mention the road.
