ORANGE CITY (AP) - An Iowa man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for supplying alcohol and prescription drugs to a teenage girl and touching her inappropriately.

James Stewart, of Rock Valley, was sentenced Monday in Sioux County.

The Sioux County attorney's office says Stewart pleaded guilty in October to sponsoring a gathering where controlled substances unlawfully used, lascivious conduct with a minor and first-degree harassment.

Officials say the girl was spending the night at Stewart's home with his daughter in 2008 when he gave her alcohol and hydrocodone, persuaded her to disrobe and fondled her.

Stewart threatened to kill the girl or her family if she told anyone what happened.

Stewart must wear an electronic monitoring device for five years after he is released and register as a sex offender.
