CEDAR RAPIDS - An Iowa City woman was arrested after telling a police officer she would trade sex for gas.

Lisa Langer, 44, of Iowa City, faces charges of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers in an unmarked car and plain clothes noticed Langer, who appeared to be hitch hiking, around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of First Avenue West and Sixth Street West.

When they approached Langer, she offered sex for gasoline, according to a police report. Officers later found a drug pipe in her purse.

Langer was transported to the Linn County Jail.
