JOHNSON COUNTY - An employee of Cedar Rapids television station KGAN/KFXA was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after one of the station’s live vans left Interstate 80 in Coralville and rolled over, the Iowa State Patrol said.

Christopher Jose, 25, of Cedar Rapids, was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after the accident near the Coralville interchange. The hospital did not have information on his condition Monday night.

Joseph Zielinski, 25, of Cedar Rapids, was driving the van east about 3:40 p.m. when he tried to merge from the middle into the right lane, the State Patrol report said. Zielinski steered back into the middle lane to avoid another vehicle, then lost control. The van went into the south ditch and rolled over.
