Boswell, Harkin Introduce Bill to Fund Ethanol Study

By Becky Ogann

DES MOINES (AP) - Iowa lawmakers are calling for a study that could make it easier to pump ethanol across the country.

Congressman Leonard Boswell says he plans to introduce a bill in the U.S. House, asking for a $2 million study to see if ethanol can be transported by pipeline.

Senator Tom Harkin has introduced a similar bill in the Senate.

They say ethanol helps to cut America's dependence on foreign oil and is better for the environment.
