DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — Police in Dubuque say a man injured in a one-vehicle crash had a near-lethal blood alcohol when he was found.

Officers say 40-year-old Daniel Neyens had a blood alcohol level of 0.35 percent — more than four times the legal limit for driving — when he was tested after the Thanksgiving afternoon crash.

Police say Neyens crashed into a tree and suffered facial injuries. After he was treated at Mercy medical Center-Dubuque, Neyens was released into police custody and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated
