KEOSAUQUA (AP) - The judge hearing the first-degree murder trial of Shawn Bentler will visit the crime scene on Thursday.
Bentler, of Quincy, Illinois, is accused of killing his parents and his three teenage sisters in their home in Bonaparte last October.
Van Buren County District Judge Michael Mullins will travel to the house Thursday afternoon. Mullins say the attorneys accompanying him won't be allowed to point out anything specific. The media is not allowed on the outing.
Meanwhile, the prosecution rested its case Thursday morning. Prosecutors accused Bentler of killing his family over money.
Now the defense will call witnesses to the stand.
