COUNCIL BLUFFS - A landslide caused by excessive recent rains in western Iowa as forced some residents from their homes and now a lawsuit is in the works.

So far, one house in Council Bluffs has been condemned. And now other neighbors say they aren't taking any chances.

Home video shows a river of mud flowing down the backyard of a home near Jim Brown Parkway in Council Bluffs - just east of Omaha.

The soil tore away from Tim Riedesel's home and took the fence and deck with it.

Riedesel and his neighbors said their insurance won't cover this kind of disaster.

Jeff Barnhouse and Amy Larson said they watched as their neighbor's house began to sink.

They were just a few feet away in their own homes.

Barnhouse and Larsen said they are voluntarily evacuating their homes after watching what happened to their neighbor.

Riedesel said he has had erosion problems in the past, but nothing like this.

He said the builder told him it was a drainage problem.
