Some good news for Iowa State and the University of Iowa. The Office of Dietary Supplements will give ISU a grant to study the botanical ingredients that are found in dietary supplements.

Researchers from ISU, the U of Iowa, and Yale, will study the benefits of such botanical supplements as Echinacea and St. John's Wart.

Officials say this new research could help medical scientists modify the effects of botanicals used in diet supplements.
