Mother Pleads Guilty to Selling Her Child for Wedding Dress

Davenport - An Iowa woman has pleaded guilty to trying to sell her son to pay off a wedding gown.

Marcy Gant, of Davenport, was charged back in October, after she offered to settle a $200 bill with a retailer by attempting to trade in her son.

Gant pleaded guilty to child endangerment as part of a plea agreement.

She originally faced 10 years in prison on the initial charge. Sentencing is scheduled for june 7th.

Both of Gant's sons were removed from the family home.
