CEDAR RAPIDS - Kathy's Pies is filling the Thanksgiving rush.

It's no longer taking orders for Wednesday and expects to cut off orders for Thanksgiving day pies Tuesday.

Kathy's owners say this season has been busier than other holidays.

Co-owner Terri Henecke said, "There's been times it's been Tuesday afternoon and before we stop taking orders for Wednesday and here we're cutting off on Monday."

Chocolate crème is typically their number one selling pie. But with the pumpkin shortage, owners say orders for pumpkin pies are way up.

Kathy's says it has plenty of pumpkin.
