DUBUQUE - Phillip Robinson of Deerfield, Wisc., was arrested after he led Dubuque police on a chase early Sunday that ended on the Illinois side of the Julien Dubuque Bridge.

Robinson, 40, failed to stop for Dubuque officers about 3 a.m. and headed east on Highway 20. He lost control of his vehicle and crashed at Tranel Lane, about five miles east of East Dubuque in rural Joe Daviess County. Robinson ran from the accident scene but was caught by a Dubuque Police Department dog.

After treatment for minor injuries at Midwest Medical Center in Galena, Robinson was held at the Joe Daviess County Jail pending a court appearance on two felony counts of fleeing and eluding police, driving on a revoked license, and several traffic citations.
