'Go Red for Women' Raises Money for Heart Disease Prevention
CEDAR RAPIDS - The fight against heart disease in women brought out a lot of red on Friday.
About 500 people attended the "Go Red for Women" luncheon in Cedar Rapids at the Kirkwood Community College Center for Continuing Education. The annual event benefits the American Heart Association, especially research for preventing the number one killer of women in the U.S., heart disease. Friday's event raised more than $90,000.
