Hempstead Student Busted After K9 Finds Marijuana

DUBUQUE - During a random narcotics search of Dubuque's Hempsted High School, a K9 lead officers to drugs inside a student's vehicle.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 46.2 grams of marijuana, about a sandwich bags worth, a pipe and a scale along with cash.

A 17-year-old student was charged with possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

These charges were filed with Juvenile Court Services and are eligible for sentencing enhancement due to the offense occurring within 1000 feet of a school.
