Delivery Truck Knocks Out Utility Pole, Power Outages Possible

CEDAR RAPIDS - Power outages are possible in southeast Cedar Rapids after a delivery truck knocked out a utility pole.

Police have 19th Street SE blocked between 12th Avenue and Mount Vernon Road SE.

Power lines are crossing the street and the wooden pole, which held a transformer and a street light, snapped in two spots.

Police say no one was hurt.

Alliant Energy is on the scene working to fix the problem.
