BENTON COUNTY - John Skalsky Jr. went missing Saturday afternoon and it's believed he was walking Blairstown to Norway along railroad tracks.
The Benton County Sheriff tells TV9 that at least 75 people have joined the search, family estimates even more people have joined. By Tuesday morning, searchers had walked that eight mile stretch of track twice. So the search has widened to nearby woods and farm fields.
A helicopter is also helping with the search. Family members say the owner called to donate the time and they appreciate that help.
Searchers say it's difficult going with a lot of corn still standing making it tougher to see anything. They are also concerned about the dropping temperatures. But they are keeping their spirits up and are comforted with all the help from friends, relatives and even strangers.
