Marshall County Double Murder Trial Scheduled to Begin

DAKOTA CITY (AP) - The trial of a Des Moines man accused of killing his wife and another man in Marshall County last fall is scheduled to start.
Kyle Deemer is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Jessica Deemer and Bruce Mercer, of West Des Moines. Their bodes were found on Oct. 17, 2008, near a ditch along a highway.
Kyle Deemer's trial is slated to start on Monday in Humboldt County District Court in Dakota City, where it was moved because of pretrial publicity.
