Fire Damages Oelwein Hotel

OELWEIN - Fire crews are investigating an early morning fire in Oelwein. It happened just before three o'clock Sunday morning at the Yankee Scoreboard hotel that's in the 100 block of South Frederick Avenue.

Oelwein Police tell TV9 two people were removed from the hotel by firefighters but were not taken to a hospital.

We don't yet know the cause of the fire. Oelwein Police expect to release more information sometime Sunday.
