MARION - Last week we featured a Kennedy High School cheerleader who's participating in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

But she's not the only Iowan going.

The Macy's Great American Marching Band invited Keith Bell to play the cymbals in the parade, but this isn't the first time for him.

The Alburnett High School senior also marched last year. He'll perform with many of the best high school musicians across the country.

"The adrenalin was really high that day, the day for the parade. You only have about two hours of sleep from Wednesday to Thursday but the adrenalin keeps you going. It's just an amazing feeling knowing that so many people are watching you," Bell said.

Bell hopes to play the drums at the University of Northern Iowa next year.
