CORALVILLE (AP) - An Iowa calling center has decided to add 55 new positions as the holiday season approaches.
CEO Thomas Cardella says his company, Thomas L. Cardella & Associates, will hire 55 people to full-time, permanent positions this month. The company employs 800 people across the state, including 200 in Coralville.
Cardella says the company is hiring because of increased demand for service from one of their existing clients.
Training for new employees begins on Nov. 16 and Nov. 21. Officials say the new hires will have to complete 40 hours of training before they begin taking calls.
Cardella said the company will be picky about who it will hire. He says the firm wants people with a strong work ethic.
