Toys For Tots Kicks Off in Linn County

LINN COUNTY - The annual Toys For Tots toy drive kicks off in Linn County this Monday.

Over 1500 families are in need of help this holiday season.

If you have a new, unwrapped toy you would like to donate, check out www.crtoyshop.org for a list of locations, information on monetary donations and toy ideas.

They are also looking for volunteers to sort and organize the toys for distribution.

If you are in need of assistance this holiday season, there's still time to sign up.

The Salvation Army's Christmas assistance includes both a toy shop and holiday food box program. You can submit your application to the Cedar Rapids branch, 1000 C Ave NW, through November 20th. Volunteers will be on site Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m.
