FONTANELLE (AP) - Sheriffs officials in Adair County sheriff's investigators say one person has died as a result of a crash involving a pickup truck.

Authorities say a Ford F-150 pickup driven by Shirley Scott, 72, of rural Fontanelle, left the road Sunday morning three miles north of Fontanelle. The truck entered a ditch and struck an embankment before rolling numerous times and coming to rest on the drivers side.

Rescue personnel from Fontanelle and the Adair County Ambulance responded to the scene. Scott was pulled from the pickup and flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, where she later died.
