CEDAR RAPIDS - A once flooded building reopened Wednesday.

A foot of water filled the Grant Wood Area Education Agency's building. Staffers were able to save furniture from the old building.

Wednesday it offered tours of the renovated building.

"It's wonderful, it's really a much nicer facility and it was over a million dollars of flood recovery costs that we had to restore the building but we're very pleased with how it's turned out," said George Held.

FEMA covers 90% of the flood recovery costs, with state funding covering the rest.
