CEDAR RAPIDS - Nearly a half-million dollars in grant money is going to nine non-profits in Cedar Rapids.

Each will receive $50,000 from the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation's Flood 2008 Fund.

The fund has raised about $5-million dollars.

Earlier grants went to non-profit programs helping residents and neighborhoods recover from the flood. But these grants will go toward long-term recovery efforts.
