SIOUX FALLS, SD - The defense opened its case Monday in the trial of former Agriprocessors manager Shalom Rubashkin.

He faces 91 fraud charges in federal court in Sioux Falls.

But Rubashkin's attorneys argue the alleged fraud is actually incompetence, not corruption.

The prosecution rested this morning after several weeks of testimony.

The charges stem from an immigration raid at the Postville plant in May of last year.
