Oelwein Man Charged Wiith Willful Injury

OELWEIN (AP) - Authorities in Fayette County say they have filed felony charges against an Oelwein resident in an attack that left another Oelwein resident injured.

Officers from the Fayette County Sheriff's office went to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein early Friday morning after learning of the attack. They later charged 42-year-old Robert Conner with willful injury.

According to the sheriff's office, an assault allegedly occurred earlier at a residence in Oelwein. The victim, whose name was not released, was later transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City and treated for lacerations on the face and for possible skull fractures.
