N. Iowa Man Injured when Tire Explodes

ROCKWELL (AP) - Authorities say a northern Iowa man suffered a head injury when a truck tire he was working on exploded.

Wayne Wiseman, 57, of Rockwell, was injured Thursday afternoon at his home. The Cerro Gordo County sheriff's office says he was working on a semitrailer tire when the sidewall blew out. The blast blew Wiseman several feet off the ground.

Wiseman was taken to a Mason City hospital, where he was treated and released.
