House Fire in Central Iowa Started by Meth Lab

LUTHER (AP) - Authorities say an illegal drug lab sparked a house fire where a teenager had to be rescued in the central Iowa town of Luther.

The Boone County sheriff's office called the Sept. 2 fire suspicious. Now officials say it was caused by a methamphetamine lab.

At least five fire department responded to the fire.

A teenage girl who was trapped inside the house was rescued. She was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and released.

Two men were seen running from the house the night of the fire. No arrests have been made.
