The producers who planned to shoot a feature-film in Cedar Rapids have changed their minds.

They call the movie "Cedar Rapids," but now they plan to film it in Michigan. It's been described as a funny movie that portrays the city in a positive light.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau believes Cedar Rapids can still benefit from the movie even if it's not filmed here.

"We'll miss out on that short-term direct spending of having a film shot here, but we should enjoy the long-term benefit of having the movie called 'Cedar Rapids,” says Convention & Vistor’s Bureau’s Tim Boyle.

The movie will feature actors Anne Heche and Ed Helms.
