Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting 8-year-old

WASECA, MN - A La Porte City man faces charges for allegedly sexually assaulting an 8-year-old Benton County girl.

Fred Ludemann, 69 of La Porte City, was arrested Thursday by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. Ludemann was arrested on Waseca Minnesota arrest warrants for one count of Criminal Sexual Contact in the first degree and one count of Criminal Sexual Contact in the second degree.

During a hearing in Benton County District Court Thursday afternoon Ludemann waived extradition to Minnesota.

Ludemann is being held without bond at the Linn County Correctional facility in Cedar Rapids pending pickup by Waseca Minnesota authorities.
