Search Uncovers Stolen Property in Storage Units

LANCASTER, WI - The Grant County Sheriff's Department has recovered what it believes as dozens of stolen items in two storage units.

The storage units are in the city of Dodgeville and belong to Bradley Weist, of Fennimore. Authorities searched them on Thursday, Oct. 15th.

A total of 84 items were seized during the search on suspicion of being stolen property. Many of them are commercial grade that are easily identifiable.

Among the property seized, were six guns along with a bow and arrows believed to be taken during a home robbery in Stitzer, WI on August 21. Also recovered was a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was reported stolen by an Edmund, WI resident on October 9th.

Weist is charged with burglary and theft. Authorities are still investigating.
