CEDAR RAPIDS - The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the southbound lanes of I-380 one mile north of Center Point have re-opened following a semi fire.

The Benton County Sheriff tells TV9 the semi caught fire just south of Urbana. It's believed to be a mechanical issue. The semi was fully engulfed, and is a total loss.

You can see from the picture below that traffic was at a standstill. No injuries have been reported from the fire, or the subsequent traffic backup.
