DES MOINES (AP) - A woman arrested in the December raid at the Swift and Company meatpacking plant in Marshalltown has been convicted of identity theft.

Wednesday, a federal jury found Lorena Andrade Rodriguez, 34, guilty of five counts stemming from her use of a stolen Social Security card to get a job at the plant in 2004.

Rodriguez is one of 23 people indicted after the raid in Marshalltown. Her case is the first to go on trial.

Nearly 1,300 people were arrested during raids at Swift plants in six states.

Rodriguez will remain in custody pending sentencing.
