Fire Destroys Home in Washington County

DAYTONVILLE — A home in Washington County is destroyed by fire.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says the fire started around 12:45 Tuesday afternoon in the community of Daytonville, just northeast of Wellman, in Washington County.

The American Red Cross is assisting the Hopp family, who lived in the home.

The cause of the fire is not known.
