POWESHIEK COUNTY - A 33-year-old Deep River man faces charges for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old.

After a month long investigation, the Poweshiek County Sheriff's Office arrested James Timothy Tyler, 33, on Tuesday night at his Deep River residence. Timothy is accused of having sex with and threatening to use force against a 14-year-old victim over a five month period in 2007 and 2008.

Tyler is charged with one count of Sexual Abuse 2nd degree, and nine counts of both Sexual Abuse 3rd degree and Child Endangerment. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges against Tyler are pending.

Tyler is being held at the Poweshiek County Jail on $25,000 dollar bond.
