Marengo Man Busted Growing 100 Pot Plants

MARENGO - Deputies with the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Marengo Police Department seized over 100 cultivated marijuana plants approximately 3 miles southeast of Marengo Wednesday afternoon.

The plants were very close to the harvest stage.

This is the second marijuana growing operation seized in as many weeks in Iowa County.

Kevin T. Lund, 46, of Marengo, was taken into custody and subsequently released to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services after an appearance in Iowa County Magistrates Court.

Lund is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both class D felonies.
